wrappings were strewn all over the floors
with books, games, and barbies from all the great stores.
The boys were playing their DS's with glee,
Kam Ann with Barbies and Princesses you see.
Russ was out shoveling and digging out the snow
that covered our sidewalks, our streets high and low.
He made such a track to slide on with sleds
but only after a snowfight with snow down mom's coat,
then we hid out in the basement with the Wii remote
playing pokemon, Outdoor challenge, and Mario Kart
and the sun went down, it got cold, and terribly dark.
Wow, I don't know what got into me.....
Just tired maybe.
I love. love. love Christmas. But I am soooo glad it's over. Next year, remind me I'm taking a week off and not going to work and going to play play play the day during the holiday break!!
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For the Eve--we went to the Bakers, had dinner (something the shepherd's maybe would have eaten the night Christ was born ...hmmm yah), then we had "the program" or "the pageant", or the roadshow..... you can see photos here (remember to click on slideshow), complete with costumes, music, and song.
Home to quickly put out cookies and milk, and open new Christmas jammies.
Up at 6:30 for the fun.
Eat yummy Breakfast.....recipes later--(Oven French toast, and Breakfast casserole)
play outdoor challenge
play Barbies
play polly pockets
hurry and make potatoes for Burdett's. Drive to Layton for gift exchange and yummy ham dinner. Drive home in blizzard.
Long but fun day. Good memories had by all.
"The best Christmas Ever!" per Kaden.
